The Neighbourhood is an American alternative rock band from Newbury Park, California, formed in 2011. The five-piece - vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Zach Abels and Jeremy Freedman, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Fried - broke through with their 2013 debut album I Love You. and its lead single "Sweater Weather," now one of the most-streamed songs in Spotify history. Their sound draws on indie rock, R&B, and elements of hip-hop, wrapped in a distinctly monochrome, melancholic aesthetic. After a three-year hiatus, the band reunited in late 2024 and released their fifth studio album (((((ultraSOUND))))) in November 2025.
