The Sweet are a British rock band formed in London in 1968, who became one of the defining acts of the glam rock era with thirteen UK Top 20 hits in the 1970s. Their classic line-up - vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott and drummer Mick Tucker - produced anthems like "Ballroom Blitz", "Fox on the Run" and "Love Is Like Oxygen" that sold over 55 million records worldwide. Three of the four original members have since died; founding guitarist Andy Scott continues to lead the band today. In September 2024 the group released "Full Circle" via Metalville Records, announced as their final studio album.
The Sweet appeared on ZDF's Fernsehgarten on 7 September 2025, performing 'Ballroom Blitz' and 'Fox on the Run' for a live TV audience.
The Sweet played the Stonedead Festival in 2025, with guitarist Andy Scott reflecting on the band's history in interviews around the event.
The Sweet toured Australia in November 2024; Andy Scott missed the dates due to illness and was replaced on guitar by Randall Waller.
