The Veils are a New Zealand-born indie rock band founded in London in 2001 by singer-songwriter Finn Andrews, son of XTC keyboardist Barry Andrews. Signed to Rough Trade while Andrews was just 16, the band built a reputation for dark, atmospheric songwriting and an intense live show over eight studio albums. Their music has been featured by filmmakers David Lynch, Tim Burton and Paolo Sorrentino, and their 2016 album Total Depravity was produced by El-P of Run the Jewels.
The Veils released their eighth studio album, Fragile World, on V2 Records - recorded live to tape in New Zealand.
The band announced Fragile World and released the lead single 'Lungs', describing the record as a shift in tone from the quieter Asphodels.
The Veils announced a European tour in support of Fragile World, including a date in Vienna in November 2026 and UK dates in December 2026.
The band released their seventh studio album, Asphodels, recorded in five days at Auckland's Roundhead Studios.
