Tim Fischer (born 12 March 1973 in Delmenhorst) is a German chansonnier and actor based in Berlin, widely regarded as one of the leading interpreters of German-language chanson. He built his career from the early 1990s at Hamburg's Schmidt-Theater and Berlin's cabaret stages, filling opera houses and concert halls across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 1995 he became the youngest recipient ever of the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis in the chanson category, and has since released more than twenty albums spanning original material and tribute programmes dedicated to artists such as Georg Kreisler and Hildegard Knef.
