Tina Turner (born Anna Mae Bullock; November 26, 1939 - May 24, 2023) was an American singer, songwriter and actress who rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead vocalist of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, then staged one of music history's most celebrated comebacks with her 1984 solo album Private Dancer. Dubbed the 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll', she sold over 180 million records worldwide, won 12 Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first with Ike Turner in 1991, then as a solo artist in 2021.
