About
Tingvall Trio is a Hamburg-based jazz piano trio founded in 2003, consisting of Swedish pianist and composer Martin Tingvall, Cuban double bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo, and German drummer Jürgen Spiegel. Their music weaves Scandinavian lyricism, Cuban warmth and rock-inflected rhythms into a sound that regularly reaches the top of the German jazz charts - and occasionally the pop charts too. Multiple ECHO Jazz awards, gold Jazz Awards for every studio album, and concerts in over 30 countries mark their two-decade run.
