Tobias Sammet is a German vocalist and songwriter who co-founded the power metal band Edguy in Fulda in 1992. He is also the creative force behind Avantasia, an ambitious metal opera project featuring guest singers from across the world. His voice and melodic instincts have made him one of the most recognizable figures in European power metal.
