Tom Stoppard is a British playwright of Czech origin, born in 1937 in Zlín. He is best known for plays such as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Arcadia. Leopoldstadt, written in 2020, is his most personal work - a story of a Jewish family in Vienna spanning several generations from the late 19th century through the Holocaust.
