About

Turbonegro is a Norwegian rock band from Oslo, active since 1989, who forged their own corner of punk under the self-coined label "deathpunk" - a collision of glam rock, hardcore and heavy metal. Their 1998 album Apocalypse Dudes broke them to a wider audience and remains the touchstone of their catalogue, fuelling a devoted international fan community known as the Turbojugend. After a hiatus and a 2002 comeback, the band has continued performing and recording with changing lineups, most recently returning to the stage in 2025 after several years away.
