About

Turin Brakes are a South London indie-folk band formed in 1999 by childhood friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, now performing as a four-piece with Rob Allum and Eddie Myer. Their Mercury Prize-nominated debut The Optimist LP (2001) launched them into the mainstream, and 2003's Ether Song reached number three in the UK album charts, spawning the Top 5 single "Painkiller (Summer Rain)". Over a career spanning more than two decades they have released ten studio albums and sold over a million records worldwide.

Turin Brakes released their tenth studio album Spacehopper on 23 May 2025, produced by Grammy-winning Guy Massey and recorded at Konk Studios in London.
2025-04
The band shared lead single "The Message" on 11 April 2025, a track originally written during the Wide-Eyed Nowhere sessions that opens the new album.

Turin Brakes announced the Spacehopper album and a UK/Ireland headline tour for November 2025, with support from Tom Speight.
2025-04
A 2026 European Spacehopper tour was announced covering Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands, with dates in Rome, Turin, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Groningen, Amsterdam, and Tilburg.
