About

U.D.O. is a German heavy metal band founded in Solingen in 1987 by vocalist Udo Dirkschneider after his departure from Accept, one of the genre's pioneering acts. The band has released 19 studio albums over nearly four decades - from the debut "Animal House" (1987) through "Touchdown" (2023) - maintaining a hard, uncompromising sound that earned them a loyal following across Europe and beyond. Dirkschneider's instantly recognizable raspy voice remains the band's trademark, and the current lineup includes his son Sven on drums and former Accept bassist Peter Baltes.
