Unheilig is a German music project founded in Aachen in 1999, built around singer and songwriter Bernd Heinrich von Francken-Sierstorpff, known as Der Graf. Starting out in the gothic and dark-wave scene, the band gradually shifted toward melodic pop-rock with German-language lyrics, breaking through to mainstream audiences with the 2010 album "Große Freiheit" - one of the best-selling German albums of its era, with over two million copies sold. After disbanding in 2016, Der Graf returned in 2025 with a full comeback, releasing the new studio album "Liebe Glaube Monster" in March 2026, which debuted straight at number one in the German charts.
