Volbeat are a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen in 2001 by vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, formerly of death metal act Dominus. Their sound fuses heavy metal, rockabilly and classic rock - a blend that took them from Copenhagen club stages to arenas worldwide. They hold the record for the most Billboard Mainstream Rock No. 1 singles by any band based outside North America, and their 2010 album Beyond Hell / Above Heaven sold over 1.2 million copies globally.
Volbeat released their ninth studio album God of Angels Trust on June 6, 2025, via Vertigo/Universal.
