Werner Richard Heymann (1896-1961) was a German composer best known for his film music from the Weimar era. He wrote songs for numerous early German sound films, including the celebrated tune "Das gibt's nur einmal" from Der Kongress tanzt (1931). After the Nazis came to power he emigrated to Hollywood, where he carried on composing for the film industry.
