Willy Astor (born 6 September 1961 in Munich) is a German cabaret artist, musician and composer who built his career on wordplay, rhyme and linguistic acrobatics. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s with comedy numbers that weave homophones and near-homophones into absurd narratives, earning him the nickname "Wortakrobat" (word acrobat). Beyond cabaret, he composed "Stern des Südens", the official anthem of FC Bayern München, and has released multiple instrumental guitar albums alongside his comedy work.
Willy Astor was awarded the Bayerischer Verdienstorden (Bavarian Order of Merit) at a ceremony on 3 July 2026.
Astor is touring Germany and Austria in 2026 with his current programme, performing in cities including Graz, Salzburg, Wien, Dresden and Berlin.
