Wolfmother is an Australian hard rock band founded in Sydney around 2000, built around vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale as its only constant member. Their 2005 self-titled debut went five-times platinum in Australia and earned a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2007 for the single "Woman". Drawing on the heavy riffs of Black Sabbath and the psychedelic energy of early Led Zeppelin, the band became one of the most recognisable rock acts to emerge from Australia in the 2000s.
