About

Wolvennest is a Brussels-based occult doom collective formed in 2015 by guitarists Michel Kirby (Arkangel), Corvus Von Burtle (Cult of Erinyes), and Marc De Backer, with vocalist and theremin player Shazzula at the centre of their ritualistic sound. Drawing on psychedelic doom, black metal, Krautrock, and dark ambient, the band has built a reputation for hypnotic, ceremony-like live performances and a string of critically noted albums on Ván Records and Consouling Sounds. Their name is Dutch for 'wolves' nest', and their music - dense with layered guitars, synths, and Shazzula's haunting vocals - consistently defies easy genre labelling.

    Wolvennest released their double album Procession on October 17, 2025 via Consouling Sounds, their first release on that label after previously being signed to Ván Records.

    Wolvennest embarked on a European co-headline tour with (Dolch) in October-November 2025, with support from Double Darkness, covering cities including Leipzig, Kraków, Salzburg, Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, and Copenhagen.
