About

WU LYF (World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation) are a Manchester indie rock band formed in 2008 by Ellery Roberts, Evans Kati, Tom McClung and Joe Manning. They built a cult following by refusing interviews, hiding their faces and self-releasing music on their own LYF Recordings label - including their debut album Go Tell Fire to the Mountain (2011), recorded in an abandoned Manchester church and praised by Pitchfork with a 'Best New Music' accolade. After a sudden split in 2012, the band reunited in 2025 and released their long-awaited second album A Wave That Will Never Break in April 2026.
