Youngblood Brass Band
American blues-jazz ensemble Youngblood Brass Band performs at Munich's STROM club.
Youngblood Brass Band is a ten-piece American ensemble from Madison, Wisconsin, active since 1998. They coined the term "Riot Jazz" for their genre - a collision of New Orleans brass band tradition, hip-hop, funk and punk that runs entirely on acoustic instruments. Over six studio albums and tours across more than 20 countries, they have shared stages at Glastonbury, Roskilde, North Sea Jazz and WOMAD, and collaborated with artists including Talib Kweli and Questlove.
The band's official website announced a Fall 2026 EU tour with dates across Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Youngblood Brass Band played the Bataclan in Paris on November 18, 2025.
David Henzie-Skogen, the band's longtime drummer and vocalist, rejoined the lineup for live shows.
The band released an expanded sheet music catalogue, including versions with software notation files.
