Zakopower is a Polish folk-rock band founded in 2005 by violinist and vocalist Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka, a native of Zakopane. The group weaves Góral highland music from the Tatra region into rock, jazz and pop arrangements, with all recordings produced by Mateusz Pospieszalski. Their 2011 album "Boso" went triple platinum and spent months at number one on Polish charts, earning three Fryderyk awards. Over two decades the band has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Sziget Festival and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, while playing roughly 100 concerts a year in Poland.
