Alison Moyet is a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the early 1980s as one half of the synth-pop duo Yazoo alongside Vince Clarke. She then launched a successful solo career, with albums such as "Alf" and "the minutes", showcasing her powerful, soulful contralto voice across pop, blues and electronic styles.
