Cat Stevens is a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the 1970s with folk and pop hits such as "Wild World", "Father and Son", and "Tea for the Tillerman". In 1977 he converted to Islam, took the name Yusuf Islam, and stepped back from his music career for a time. He returned to active music-making in 2006.
