Georg Friedrich Händel (1685–1759) was a German-born Baroque composer who spent most of his career in England. He is celebrated for his oratorios, operas, and orchestral works. Among his most famous compositions are the oratorio Messiah and the orchestral suites Water Music and Music for the Royal Fireworks.
