Rakaa (born Rakaa Iriscience) is an American rapper from Los Angeles and a member of the hip-hop group Dilated Peoples. Together with Evidence and DJ Babu, the group became one of the most respected acts in independent hip-hop during the 1990s and 2000s. He is known for his technical lyricism and socially conscious rhymes.
