The Obsessed is an American doom/sludge metal band from Washington, D.C., founded by guitarist and vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich in the early 1980s. The band is considered a pioneer of the American doom metal scene and has influenced numerous heavy music acts. After several hiatuses and lineup changes, they reunited and released the album Sacred (2017).
