What's glittering over there? What's sparkling? The music rustles and chimes, the whole room shimmers and gleams.

"funkelschön" is a half-hour concert format for babies aged 0 to 2. It focuses on auditory, visual and tactile sensory experiences for the very youngest. Concept and design: Katharina Flaig; an ensemble of the Bochumer Symphoniker performs on stage.

The Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr is Bochum's main concert hall, opened in 2016 inside a converted medieval church. Home to the Bochumer Symphoniker, it seats around 900 in its main hall and is notable for its striking blend of Gothic architecture and modern acoustic design. Smaller rehearsal and chamber spaces make it a hub for classical music in the Ruhr region.
