Das hält. Für immer - by Marek Bednarsky
Brandenburger Theater, Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany
19.7 €
A kind of family saga: Elena and Benjamin live in the 1980s in a mid-sized East German city. Choosing between private life and service to the "Mother State" comes at a cost - their child Jaschka is left behind with her grandmother, without parents. More than 35 years later, the GDR is history, Jaschka is grown up and living her own life, one she must defend against a biographical blank.
"Das hält. Für immer" tells not only of a forgotten past, but through vivid, layered characters, of a shared German present and future. A play full of comedy, tragedy and hope.
An original production by Brandenburger Theater.
