Silent Disco - Open Air Edition

On Saturday, 1 August 2026, Kulturhaus Schwanen hosts the second Silent Disco Open Air Edition on the Schwaneninsel in Waiblingen, starting at 8 pm. The party runs until 11 pm in front of the open-air stage and in the beer garden - wireless headphones, four selectable channels, and very different sounds for a summer evening outside.

Four channels are on offer: DJ Andy spins 70s and 80s hits, DJ The Man From California - Vor12Club resident - brings a best-of from 2000s hip-hop, pop, dancehall and indie. DJ Nazım Sabuncu contributes his "Anatolian Retro Mixtape": Anatolian sounds from the 1960s and 70s blended with funk, rock and a touch of electro. Rounding things off is a Live Jukebox where the crowd can request songs on the spot.

The concept is straightforward: put on the headphones, pick a channel, set your own volume, dance. Each colour represents a different sound, so you can see at a glance who is moving to which beat. Headphones off means a break; headphones on means keep going. That's how 70s and 80s classics, 2000s flashbacks, Anatolian retro grooves and spontaneous song requests all share the same dancefloor.

How it works: at the door, every guest receives a pair of headphones against a 10-euro deposit included in the entry price. Personal headphones cannot be used. Entry follows a solidarity pricing model: 5 / 10 / 15 euros, depending on what you can afford. The headphone deposit must be paid in cash on site.
