ROSENAU Poetry Slam - hosted by Nikita Gorbunov

Poetry Slam is the modern poetry competition - and the most widely attended form of small-stage art in Germany. In Stuttgart it has taken root more firmly than the local tradition of staircase cleaning, and draws more fans than photos of the Schlossplatz. Writers of all kinds perform their own original pieces: lyric poetry, rap, cabaret, storytelling, beatbox, comedy and spoken word. The evening is hosted by Nikita Gorbunov.

For over 20 years, the Rosenau Slam stage has been the place where everything possible with words actually happens. German-language scene stars, literary first-timers and after-work poets each get seven minutes to win over the crowd - because the audience decides who takes the prize.
