delian::quartett

The klassik! season 2026/2027 opens on 16 September 2026 with delian::quartett - one of Germany's most respected chamber music ensembles, renowned for its conceptually sophisticated programmes. Recently, the quartet performed with actress Angela Winkler at the Salzburg Festival.

At Stadthaus, delian::quartett presents the concert project "Dance Through Time". The first part journeys through music history - from Purcell through Weill to Schnittke, featuring Strauss's "Pizzicato-Polka". The second part showcases Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 3.

The ensemble's name derives from the Greek god Apollo, who was also called Delian after his birthplace, the island of Delos - patron of the Muses and especially of music.
