Daniel Glass Trio

Daniel Glass Trio - finest jazz from New York City

Daniel Glass has been the "Resident Drummer" at the legendary Birdland on 44th Street in Manhattan since 2011, performing there over 1000 times - a category unto itself. With Sean Harkness (guitar) and Michael O'Brian (bass), he brings two of New York's most sought-after session musicians to the stage. All three have worked as sidemen and studio musicians with Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli, Brian Setzer, Janice Siegel (Manhattan Transfer), Gene Simmons, and José Feliciano.

The trio moves between jazz, post-bop, and funk - with free-flowing improvisations, original compositions, and unexpected cover versions. Sean Harkness has been awarded six times by the MAC (Manhattan Association of Clubs & Cabarets) and teaches guitar masterclasses worldwide at music schools and universities. Michael O'Brian has performed with Harry Connick Jr., Rubén Blades, and the Jazz Mandolin Project, among others; his composition "Pine" was premiered by the string quartet Ethel at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
