Double Life Keeps Better - Premiere

Taxi driver and bigamist John Smith leads two lives with two wives at two addresses according to a strict schedule - until an accident throws everything into chaos. Both wives turn to the police, who arrive in the form of two harmless inspectors.

With the help of his friend and neighbour Stanley, John attempts to lead the officers through a labyrinth of excuses and lies: the obedient wives Mary and Barbara transform into transvestites and hysterical nuns, while the resourceful John turns the terrified Stanley into a child one moment and a homosexual seducer the next.

There is no escape from this maze - not a dry eye in the house, no truth left standing, until both guardians of the law and the audience succumb to the law of madness.
