Double Life Holds Better

Taxi driver and bigamist John Smith manages two marriages at two addresses according to a strict schedule - until an accident throws everything into chaos and his worried wives call the police. Two innocent inspectors arrive on the scene.

With the help of his friend and neighbour Stanley, John maneuvers the officers into a labyrinth of excuses and lies: the obedient wives Mary and Barbara transform into transvestites and hysterical nuns, while the clever John reinvents Stanley as a child one moment and a homosexual seducer the next.

There is no escape from this maze - not a dry eye remains, no truth survives, until both law enforcers and the audience succumb to the law of madness.
