Ethel Merhaut (vocals), Aliosha Biz (violin), Belushi Korenyi (piano)
Vienna-based singer Ethel Merhaut dedicates the programme "Waltzing in the Clouds" to Viennese music in all its variety: operetta meets chanson, cabaret meets Viennese song and popular hits. The repertoire ranges from Hermann Leopoldi through Franz Lehár and Robert Stolz to Georg Kreisler and Hugo Wiener. Merhaut blends her roots in classical singing with jazz, swing and chanson - she regularly performs in concert halls, jazz clubs and at festivals, both with her own ensemble and with salon or big-band orchestras. She is also known as a Kreisler interpreter alongside Karl Markovics.
The concert takes place in the Nachtmusik format: approximately one hour without intermission in the empty, atmospherically lit Paterskirche. Where and how you sit is entirely up to you - carpet, choir stalls, wall or floor. Bring your own seating (camping chair, bean bag, tripod stool) - these are warmly welcome. From 21:00, drinks are available before entry.
Admission: 22 euros including ticket fee, 23 euros at the evening box office. Individual ticket sales begin on Saturday, 5 September 2026 - at the Tourist Information desk or online (plus processing fees).
