Spin Without Spinning Out - Ongoing Evening Pottery Wheel Course, 5 Sessions

Pottery on the wheel - for beginners and those with some experience, no prior knowledge needed.

The course covers the core techniques of wheel throwing: centering the clay, opening, setting the base and pulling up the walls of a vessel, trimming and attaching handles, and preparing the clay body. Painting and glazing take place in the Open Workshop at no extra cost. Instruction is hands-on and individual, so every participant leaves with their own finished, glazed pieces - from a cereal bowl to a coffee mug.

The course runs as an ongoing evening series of 5 sessions, and is also available as a weekend course (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00-17:00 each day). The skills gained allow participants to continue working independently in the Open Workshop afterwards.
