Udo Jürgens died in 2014 at the age of 80. Author Andreas Maier took that as the starting point for a wry, humorous reflection in column form: what is the void that Jürgens' death left behind? From "Merci Chérie" to "Es wird Nacht, Señorita", Maier probes the secret of Jürgens' emotional power and sketches a portrait of an entire generation.

Patrick Wengenroth hosts as compere - a lively staged reading from the book combined with a concert performance on the phenomenon of Udo Jürgens, dressed in a tuxedo and a white terry bathrobe, with piano and voice. He explores what still holds from Jürgens' legacy today. Matze Kloppe provides the musical accompaniment, Georg Scharegg the theatrical dimension - a trio from the founding days of TD Berlin, reuniting on stage after a long absence. To open the season, they bring back an ad-hoc show format that has been maturing for over ten years.
