Fauré Quartett has been performing in its original line-up for 30 years and celebrated its anniversary season 2025/26 with concerts worldwide. The four musicians:
Erika Geldsetzer | violin
Sascha Frömbling | viola
Konstantin Heidrich | cello
Dirk Mommertz | piano
In 2023 and 2024, the ensemble received the critics' prize in Argentina as best ensemble; in 2025 it returned to Teatro Colón Buenos Aires. A concert at Concertgebouw Amsterdam in July 2024 was also enthusiastically received by the press. "Fauré Quartett is one of the finest classical chamber music ensembles." (Die ZEIT)
The quartet is dedicated to numerous world premieres and known for its own arrangements and innovative concepts - alongside highly acclaimed recordings of the classical repertoire, including releases on Deutsche Grammophon. The works of its namesake Gabriel Fauré hold a permanent place in the ensemble's repertoire.
The programme features works by Antonín Dvořák, Gustav Mahler and Johannes Brahms. The event takes place as part of Kultursommer Südhessen, supported by the Hessian Ministry for Science and the Arts and the Sparkassen Cultural Foundation Hessen-Thüringen.
