A post-apocalyptic action thriller about female solidarity and revenge

Greece in the not-too-distant future: resource scarcity has thrown the country into chaos. In the remaining cities, rival gangs fight over water, fuel and women. Two close friends push back against the patriarchal system and fight for a better world.

With her feature debut GORGONÀ, Greek filmmaker Evi Kalogiropoulou draws a parallel between outdated power structures and pervasive environmental destruction. Set in a dystopia reminiscent of George Miller's MAD MAX, she tells a story about the liberating force of female solidarity.
