Vanja Sky & Band (CRO) - Croatia's Answer to Sheryl Crow and Norah Jones

Vanja Sky ranks among the most distinctive voices on the European blues and rock scene. The Croatian guitarist and singer blends powerful blues-rock with classic rock energy and compelling original compositions - her sound is often mentioned alongside Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joan Jett, and Chrissie Hynde.

Just a few years after picking up the guitar, Vanja Sky was already recording with renowned musicians from the international blues scene. Through albums Bad Penny, Woman Named Trouble, and her current work reborn, she has built a reputation far beyond Croatia. On reborn, she showcases her musical evolution - rockier, more mature, yet deeply rooted in the blues. Special guests on the album include Gerry McAvoy, longtime bassist for Rory Gallagher, and Ric Lee from Ten Years After.

Live, Vanja Sky performs at international blues and rock festivals, has provided support for Suzi Quatro, UFO, and Canned Heat, and appeared on WDR-Rockpalast. At the Bielefelder JazzClub, she takes the stage with her band to deliver authentic guitar-driven sound and passionate vocals.
