It is 2 August 2018, around midday. At the first Frankfurt police precinct, someone sits down at a computer in the duty room, opens one of the police information systems and types a name into the search field. Ninety minutes later, a Frankfurt lawyer receives a threatening letter signed with the words "NSU 2.0". It will be the first of many such letters targeting politicians, lawyers, journalists and artists - many of them women or people perceived as migrants. What inner fears do these contemptuous words stir up? Will words be followed by action? Is this an attack on democracy? Drawing on court transcripts and interviews with those affected and with experts, the team around Marie Schwesinger ("Werwolfkommandos") assembles facts, questions, connections and loose ends around the NSU 2.0 complex. Where are we safe when the threat comes from inside the system?

After the performance, there will be a post-show discussion with director and author Marie Schwesinger and dramaturg Jenny Flügge, moderated by Nicole Schneiderbauer from Staatstheater Augsburg.

CONTENT NOTE:
The piece contains quotes from NSU 2.0 threatening letters and chat messages that use brutal, dehumanising language, including racist and antisemitic content.
