"Wir schaffen das!" - the phrase that in 2015, as a response to Angela Merkel's summer address, became the rallying cry of a new culture of welcome - still echoes today. Germany remains one of the largest host countries for refugees.

The play by Lutz Hübner and Sarah Nemitz introduces six people from different social backgrounds who hold a grassroots democratic debate in a shared flat: Who is willing to give how much? Where are the personal limits when space suddenly has to be made for new fellow citizens? How much honesty can debates bear when they need to leave room not just for practical challenges but also for fears and anxieties?

The evening carries a clear undercurrent of irony - and gives the audience more than one moment to feel personally addressed. The play is performed without an interval.
