A musical fable by Michael Ende

His full-maned Majesty, King Leo the 28th, invites all the animals to his wedding. While the royal cook prepares the wedding feast, he tells the adventurous tale of the tortoise Tranquilla Trampeltreu, who has set off on what seems to her an endlessly long journey to the celebration.

"The kitchen staging as a fantasy story within a fantasy story - Michael Ende, one might safely assume, would have truly delighted in it." (Stuttgarter Nachrichten)
