Description was written before the event

Duisburger Philharmoniker brings "Vier Jahreszeiten" (Four Seasons) to Landschaftspark Nord in Duisburg on Sunday, 4 October 2026 at 4 p.m. This is one of four German dates for the orchestra this season. The open-air industrial park creates an unconventional setting for classical music-the historic architecture becomes part of the musical experience. The combination of industrial landscape and orchestral performance offers listeners something distinct from a traditional concert hall.

About the venue: Landschaftspark Nord

Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord is a former ironworks complex turned public landscape park, built around a decommissioned blast furnace plant from the late 19th century. The industrial structures - including the towering blast furnaces, gas tanks and ore bunkers - have been preserved and repurposed as a backdrop for open-air concerts, festivals and large-scale events. The park is also known for its dramatic nighttime illuminations designed by lighting artist Jonathan Park.
