New Earth, Shahar Binyamini's latest work, explores how movement can generate new realities and transform our relationship with the world. The set design acts as an extension of the dancers, shifting subtly throughout the piece and reinforcing the idea of constant renewal. The choreography is accompanied by a compelling musical collage drawing on Middle Eastern influences, weaving classical and electronic elements together seamlessly. This emotionally rich and innovative soundscape bridges past and present, human warmth and digital textures, tradition and experiment - giving the dancers a dynamic new context for expression. Binyamini's minimalist costumes accentuate the dancers' movements and symbolise the bond between humanity and nature. Bolero X is a powerful and striking reinterpretation of Maurice Ravel's iconic Boléro, which premiered in 1928 at the Paris Opera. Originally conceived as a ballet for dancer Ida Rubinstein, Ravel's Boléro is built on the relentless repetition of a single theme, building to a breathtaking crescendo. This musical structure forms the foundation of Binyamini's version - less a reproduction of the original than an exploration of collective dynamics and the boundless energy generated by a dense ensemble of dancers. The piece unfolds as an ever-growing, almost hypnotic wave of movement and sound, the bodies of the company acting as a single organism.
