Lucy Afarensis works at the fish counter of the SuperRiesen supermarket: laying out, weighing, typing in, sticking on labels - from morning to night, every single day. And every day her supervisor insults her for every mistake, calling her a Neanderthal. One morning on the bus, someone steals her Tupperware lunchbox - she gets off to chase the thieves, and finds herself unexpectedly on a very different path.

As if caught in a current, she is pulled back through 4.6 billion years of human history to the very beginnings of life on Earth, and further still - towards a possible new Big Bang. With wit and genuine poetry, Gwendoline Soublin tells the story of a woman living under precarious conditions, and at the same time the story of our planet.

Direction is by Julie Grothgar, whose production "Das eingebildete Tier" by Valère Novarina at the Theater an der Ruhr in Mülheim was selected for the Nachtkritik-Theatertreffen. This production marks her debut at Theater Aachen.
