Verloren - "The Trial: Based on the Novel by Franz Kafka"

On Sunday, 4 October 2026, a panel discussion takes place from 14:30 to 15:30, followed by the performance at 16:00 in the Small Hall of Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

Josef K. is no longer master of himself. His arrest - without reason, without explanation - dissolves his identity even before his death. An arbitrary state, a random fate, an existential uncertainty: the human moves on thin ice.

Panel participants:
· Sophie Steinbeck, dramaturg
· Dr. Stefan Scholz, KARM

About the venue: Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden

The Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden is one of Germany's largest multi-genre state theatres, housed in a grand historicist building completed in 1894. It stages opera, operetta, drama, and dance across several halls, with the ornate main auditorium seating around 1,000 guests. The theatre is also the traditional home of the International May Festival (Internationales Maifestspiele), which has drawn celebrated ensembles and soloists from around the world since 1896.
