L'Âme des Poètes
A good chanson is like a French croissant: light, crispy, and substantial. Whether yesterday, today, or tomorrow - they will be heard and sung for a long time to come, even if no one knows the composer's name or what stirred in their heart.
Moitié:Moitié presents classics reinterpreted and overlooked gems, world hits from the 1940s to contemporary Nouvelle Chanson. The masters Georges Brassens, Piaf, Charles Trenet, Jacques Brel, Barbara, and Serge Gainsbourg take the stage - as do younger generations carrying on this legacy.
The ensemble consists of six musicians: Christophe (vocals), Hans-Jürgen (accordion), Victor (guitar), Wolfram (clarinet and saxophone), Mario (bass), and Tom (drums). Christophe, a German-French singer, blends the musical influences of both countries and performs classics alongside carefully selected rarities - sometimes his own compositions too. Sometimes faithful to the original, sometimes reimagined entirely.
