Claus Koch (b. 1967) studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Graz from 1990 to 1995, then from 1996 with Barry Harris in New York. He has been based in Munich since 1998. The Münchner Merkur wrote of him: "Koch is one of the rare saxophonists who has deeply absorbed, internalized and creatively reworked the stylistic potential of the great tenor players of the swing era and modern jazz. Lester Young, Hank Mobley and Sonny Rollins are audible influences. His clear articulation is as impressive as his warm, full tone. In his improvisations he tells stories and quotes his models."

Bernhard Pichl ranks among the leading German jazz pianists; his playing has been praised by the likes of James Moody, Dusko Goykovich, Jimmy Cobb, Conte Candoli and Bobby Watson. Rudi Engel, who has accompanied numerous international jazz stars, joins him on double bass.

Michael Keul takes the drum chair - for many years one of the most respected drummers on the German jazz scene, with collaborations alongside Woody Shaw, Chet Baker, Clark Terry and Houston Person to his name.
