Yaara Tal and Andreas Groethuysen have been performing together since 1985 and are among the world's most renowned piano duos today. Through their exclusive collaboration with SONY Classical, they have recorded more than 35 albums and received numerous awards - including eleven prizes from German record critics, a Cannes Classical Award, and five ECHO Klassik prizes. Since 2014, both have served as professors at Mozarteum Salzburg.

Their Göttingen programme "Quasi una Fantasia..." follows the free, improvisatory form in the four-hand repertoire: from Beethoven's early Waldstein Variations through Schubert's F Minor Fantasy and virtuosic works by Carl Czerny to Beethoven's Grand Fugue op. 134 in the arrangement for piano four hands created by the composer himself.
