Rapunzel - Children Perform for Children

In the enchanted garden of an old woman grows rapunzel, a plant craved by a pregnant woman nearby. She sends her husband to steal some - but the old woman catches him and demands the unborn child as payment. So little Rapunzel must grow up with her, locked in a tower deep in the forest, where the old woman intends to initiate her into the secrets of heaven and earth.

One day, Rapunzel's singing draws a prince to the tower. He watches her let down her hair and begins to visit her in secret. When the old woman discovers his visits, she takes revenge on both of them and tears them apart - but like all fairy tales, this one too finds a happy ending.
